El Violador Eres Tu - Santiago De Chile 2019
I was in Chile during the revolution in November 2019. This was the International Day of No Violence Against Women, and there were several different performances throughout the center of Santiago. I happened to be in front of the Ministry of Women when a couple hundred women from the group “La Tesis” came and performed “El Violador En Tu Camino” in protest of the women’s minister’s involvement with police. Within a week it was virally spread throughout the world to Paris, Madrid, London, NYC, and Tokyo...
Fui a Chile en noviembre de 2019 para documentar su revolución. Éste fue el “Día Internacional de la No Violencia Contra la Mujer.” Estaba frente al Ministerio de la Mujer cuando cientos del grupo “La Tesis” llegaron e interpretaron su pieza “Un Violador En Tu Camino”, en protesta del involucramiento de la Ministra de Mujeres con la policía. La performance se difundió viralmente por todo el mundo: París, Madrid, Londres, Nueva York, Tokio... en menos de una semana.
